Answer : Climate change is the change in the nature of the global climate. This can lead to an increase in temperature which increases the catastrophic natural disasters. Although our planet has seen significant climate change in its history, the current problem is even more alarming due to the rate of change in human activity. Due to the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases, our climate is expected to change even more in the coming decades.

More than 80% of the land area is flooded. About two-thirds of the population of Bangladesh is engaged in agriculture; So climate change will hurt these farmers badly. These natural disasters cause floods, cyclones, hurricanes, extreme temperatures and droughts in the country. Most of the northern part of Bangladesh suffers from extreme temperature problems.
বাংলাদেশের একটি সমতল, নিম্নাঞ্চলীয় ভূমি রয়েছে এবং প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক বিন্যাসের ঘাটতি রয়েছে। জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন এর নাগরিক এবং বাংলাদেশ সরকারের জন্য একটা খুবই গুরুতর ব্যপার হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। স্থলভাগের ৮০% এরও বেশি বন্যা কবলিত। বাংলাদেশের জনসংখ্যার প্রায় দুই-তৃতীয়াংশ কৃষিকাজে নিযুক্ত; তাই জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন এই কৃষকদেরকে খারাপভাবে আঘাত করবে। এই প্রাকৃতিক বিপর্যয়গুলাে দেশে বন্যা, ঘূর্ণিঝড়, তুফান, অত্যধিক তাপমাত্রা এবং খরা বয়ে আনে। বাংলাদেশের উত্তরাঞ্চলের অধিকাংশ অত্যধিক তাপমাত্রার সমস্যায় ভুগে থাকে।
The World Bank warns Bangladesh of the worst effects of climate change by 2100. The report estimates that sea level will rise by 3 feet. Even a one-meter sea level rise would inundate one-third of the entire area of Bangladesh. As a result, about 25-30 million lakes will be uprooted. It will cause widespread flooding and crop loss in our country. It is also worth noting that it will lead to poverty and inflation.

Developed countries are most responsible for climate change. So they have to take responsibility for protecting the affected countries and reducing the amount of damage. উন্নত দেশগুলাে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের জন্য সবচেয়ে বেশি দায়ী। তাই তাদেরকে ভূক্তভােগী দেশগুলাে রক্ষা এবং ক্ষতির পরিমাণ কমিয়ে আনার দায়িত্ব নিতে হবে। পাশাপাশি আমাদেরকে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের হুমকি থেকে রক্ষা করার জন্য আমাদেরকে কিছু পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করতে হবে। নিলিখিত পদক্ষেপগুলাে গুলা গ্রহণ করা যেতে পারে :
1. Reduce the use of CFC, fuel wood, fossil fuels and other greenhouse gases.
2. Increase afforestation program.
3. Observing global climate trends.
4. Raise public awareness.
We must develop effective and sustainable approaches and strategies to meet the challenges of climate change. It is our responsibility to address the imbalances in the environment.
