My favorite hobby.
Answer : Hobby is nothing but an alternative mental profession. So hobby refers to a favorite activity that a person does for pleasure and which is not in accordance with his regular activities. It doesn't make sense for him but it gives him a lot of joy and excitement. A person must have a hobby for a healthy mind and good health. Hobby is a hobby for those who are engaged in heavy mental activities. The great people of the world took up hobbies to free the mind from the monotony of their original work.
শখ একটি বিকল্প মানসিক পেশা ছাড়া আর কিছুনা। সুতরাং শখ বলতে একটা প্রিয় কাজকে বুঝায় যা একজন ব্যক্তি বিনােদনের জন্য করে এবং যা তার নিয়মিত কর্মের মতাে নয়। এটা তার জন্য অর্থ নিয়ে আসেনা কিন্তু এটা তাকে অনেক আনন্দ এবং বিনােদন দেয়। একজন মানুষের একটা সুস্থ মন এবং সুস্বাস্থ্যের জন্য অবশ্যই একটা শখ থাকা উচিত। যারা ভারী মানসিক কাজকর্মে নিয়ােজিত তাদের জন্য শখ হচ্ছে চিত্তবিনােদন। বিশ্বের মহৎ ব্যক্তিগণ শখকে তাদের মূল কাজের একঘেয়েমি থেকে মনকে মুক্ত করার জন্য গ্রহণ করেছিলেন।
Since I am a student, I also have a favorite hobby which is gardening. One might wonder why I spend so much time thinking and doing such a thing. One could say that it is a waste of time and energy. But I don't think so. No other hobby can bring me more pleasure than this. The one or two hours I spend in the garden daily is not lost. It strengthens my body and refreshes my mind.
যেহেতু আমি একজন শিক্ষার্থী, আমারও একটা প্রিয় শখ রয়েছে যা হচ্ছে বাগান করা। আমি কেন এরকম একটা কাজে সময় ব্যয় এবং চিন্তা করি সেইজন্য কেউ অবাক হতে পারে। কেউ বলতে পারে এটা একটা নিছক সময় এবং শক্তির অপচয়। কিন্তু আমি এমনটা মনে করিনা। এটার চেয়ে অন্য কোন শখ আমাকে বেশি আনন্দ এনে দিতে পারবেনা। দৈনিক যে এক বা দুই ঘন্টা আমি বাগানে ব্যয় করি সেটা হারানাে নয়। এটা আমার দেহকে শক্তিশালী এবং মনকে সতেজ করে।
I have my own garden in front of my house. Whenever I have time, I work on it. I shovel the soil with a spade, uproot the weeds and plant flower seedlings in it. Sometimes I sow the seeds of some trees and water them regularly. I also built a fence around the garden with bamboo sticks. So cattle, birds and naughty children can do no harm to it. My garden has all kinds of flowers and it never grows without flowers. In the morning my heart danced with joy to see my garden full of different kinds of flowers.
আমার বাড়ির সম্মুখে আমার নিজের একটা বাগান রয়েছে। যখনই আমি সময় পাই, আমি এটাতে কাজ করি। আমি কোদাল দিয়ে মাটিকে ঝুরঝুরে করি, আগাছা উপড়ে ফেলি এবং এতে ফুলের চারা রােপণ করি। মাঝে মাঝে আমি কিছু গাছের বীজ বপন করি এবং নিয়মিত সেগুলােতে পানি দিই। আমি বাগানের চারগাশে বাঁশের লাঠি দিয়ে একটা বেড়াও দিয়েছি। তাই গবাদি পশু, পাখি এবং দুষ্ট শিশুরা এর কোন ক্ষতি করতে পারেনা। আমার বাগানে সব ধরনের ফুল রয়েছে এবং এটা কখনাে ফুল ব্যতীত থাকেনা। সকালে আমার বাগান বিভিন্ন প্রকারের ফুলে পরিপূর্ণ দেখে আমার হৃদয় আনন্দে নেচে উঠে।
Hobby helps me in different ways. It refreshes my mind and makes me forget about life's problems and worries. It is helpful for my health. I was a rag boy before I made the garden. But when I started the garden and worked on it for a while, my health improved. Thus, hobbies are a great source of joy and happiness for me. The fresh air of the garden cheers my mind. The physical labor I do in the garden keeps my body healthy. So my hobby is useful to me in different ways.
শখ আমাকে বিভিন্ন উপায়ে সাহায্য করে। এটা আমার মনকে সতেজ করে এবং আমাকে জীবনের সমস্যা ও দুশ্চিন্তাগুলাে ভুলিয়ে দেয়। এটা আমার স্বাস্থ্যের জন্য সহায়ক। বাগানটি তৈরি করার পূর্বে আমি একজন রগ্ন বালক ছিলাম। কিন্তু আমি যখন বাগানটি শুরু করেছিলাম এবং এতে কিছু সময় কাজ করেছিলাম, তখন আমার স্বাস্থ্য উন্নত হয়েছিল। এভাবে শখ আমার নিকট আনন্দ ও বিনােদনের একটি বড় উৎস। বাগানের সতেজ বাতাস আমার মনকে প্রফুল্ল করে। বাগানে আমি যে শারীরিক শ্ৰম দিই সেটা আমার দেহকে সুস্থ রাখে। সুতরাং আমার শখ বিভিন্ন উপায়ে আমার নিকট উপকারী।
