Dear Anonnya,
Take my cordial love. Last week we went on a picnic to the Shat Gombuj Mosque in Bagerhat. Before we started our journey from Khulna town by bus, we had done the preparatory chores the previous day. We took with us all necessary things. We reached the place safely. We reached there before the expected time. Having reached there, we visited the Shat Gambuj Moshjid and its surrounding areas. Ulugh Khan Jahan, a famous Muslim saint built this magnificent he mosque in the 15th century. As we took cooked food with us, we did not have to cook. Actually, I enjoyed the place very much. I was surprised to see the big and beautiful structure of the mosque. It is nicely decorated. The mosque is unique in the sense that it has 60 pillars that support the roof with 77 low height domes. The vast prayer hall has 11 arched door ways on the east and 7 each on the north and south for light and ventilation. The interior west wall is decorated with stonework and terracotta. The surrounding scenery is also very charming.
However, after having fun and amusement for more than five hours, we returned to our home in the evening. The picnic has marked a deep impression on my mind and relieved me from the monotony of routined life.
