Answer : In recent years, there have been many alarming reports to the effect that the world's climate is undergoing a significant change. All these reports provide strong evidence that the world temperature is increasing day by day. This is called global warming. In a short global warming means the rise of temperature of earth planet. This increase, in global warming is caused by the increasing amounts of carbon dioxide around the earth Population growth, rapid urbanization and deforestation, burning of coal, oil and natural gases are causing global warming in many ways. Most climatologist a believe that the greenhouse effect is the main cause of global warming. Climatologists predict that by 2050, temperature may have risen by as much as 4°C. This could catastrophically reduce mankind's ability to grow food, destroy or severely damage wildlife. raise sea levels and thereby flood coastal areas and farmland. The alarming news about Bangladesh is that, as a result of the rise of the sea level, the southern part of the country may one day go under water. If we destroy forests and burn down trees, the effects might eventually endanger us all. Then the weather pattern will change and the world will become much warmer. To stop global warming, we should plant trees in large numbers and preserve the forests. We can also lessen carbon emissions by using green energy. Producing CO2 gas must be minimized. We have to use less energy and recycle more products. All concerned bodies should work together to overcome this treat.

বঙ্গানুবাদ : সাম্প্রতিক বছরগুলােতে পৃথিবীর জলবায়ুর যে লক্ষণীয় পরিবর্তন সাধিত হচ্ছে সেই বিষয়ের প্রভাব সম্পর্কে বহু আশংকাজনক প্রতিবেদন রয়েছে। এই সমস্ত প্রতিবেদনগুলাে শক্তিশালী প্রমাণ পেশ করে যে পৃথিবীর উষ্ণতা দিনে দিনে বেড়েই চলেছে। একে বৈশ্বিক উষ্ণতা বলে। এক কথায় বৈশ্বিক উষ্ণতা মানে পৃথিবী গ্রহের উষ্ণতা বৃদ্ধি। বৈশ্বিক উষ্ণতার এই বৃদ্ধি পৃথিবীর চারপাশের কার্বন ডাইঅক্সাইডের পরিমাণ বৃদ্ধিরও কারণে ঘটে। জনসংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি, দ্রুত নগরায়ন এবং বনউজাড়; কয়লা, তেল এবং প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস পুড়ানাে বিভিন্নভাবে বৈশ্বিক উষ্ণতা বৃদ্ধির কারণ হচ্ছে। জলবায়ুবিদগণ ভবিষ্যতবাণী করেন যে ২০৫০ সালের মধ্যে উষ্ণতা ৪° সেলসিয়াস পর্যন্ত বেড়ে যেতে পারে। এটি বিপর্যকরভাবে মানুষের খাদ্য উৎপাদন সক্ষমতা, গুরুতরভাবে বন্যপ্রাণী ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ বা ধ্বংস, সমুদ্র পৃষ্ঠের উচ্চতা বৃদ্ধি এবং সমুদ্র তীরবর্তী অঞ্চল ও কৃষিজমি সমূহকে প্লাবিত করতে পারে। বাংলাদেশের জন্য আশংকাজনক সংবাদ হলাে যে সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠের উচ্চতা বৃদ্ধির ফলে দেশের দক্ষিণাঞ্চল হয়তাে একদিন পানির নীচে তলিয়ে যাবে। যদি আমরা বনাঞ্চল ধ্বংস করি এবং গাছপালা পুড়িয়ে ফেলি তাহলে এর প্রভাব আমাদের সকলকে বিপদে ফেলবে। তখন আবহাওয়ার ধরণ পাল্টে যাবে এবং পৃথিবী বহুলাংশে উষ্ণতর হয়ে যাবে। বৈশ্বিক উষ্ণতা কধ করতে আমাদের উচিত ব্যাপকহারে গাছপালা রােপন করা এবং বন সংরক্ষণ করা। সবুজ শক্তি ব্যবহার করেও আমরা কার্বন নি:সরণ কমিয়ে ফেলতে পারি। কার্বণ-ডাই অক্সাইড গ্যাস উৎপাদন অবশ্যই কমিয়ে ফেলতে হবে। আমাদেরকে কম শক্তি ব্যবহার করতে হবে এবং পূন: ব্যবহার করতে হবে। এই অবস্থা থেকে বেরিয়ে আসতে সংশ্লিষ্ট সকল মহলের একত্রে কাজ করা উচিত।
