Answer : Mr. David, Mr. Martin and Mr. Robin were the three most powerful persons who controlled the town, economically as well as politically. Things were going on well. But the problem arose when a fourth man named John Baron wanted to dominate them. Baron was a very rich man. But he was dishonest and self-centered. He was wicked to the backbone and completely a rogue. People did not like him. However, Baron raised opposition to them. He wanted to make people stand against them. He accused them of corruption in respect of various things. He began to convince the common people of their various evil activities. He told people that they misappropriated a lot of public money. He told them that each of them had accumulated a vast amount of money deceiving people for a long time. But he could not show any proof. However, people did not believe him. Eventually being frustrated, he stopped spreading such rumor. And the three persons continued their business peacefully.

বঙ্গানুবাদ : মি. ডেভিড, মি. মার্টিন ও মি. রবিন ছিলেন তিনজন অত্যন্ত ক্ষমতাধর ব্যক্তি যারা শহরটিকে অর্থনৈতিক ও রাজনৈতিকভাবে নিয়ন্ত্রন করতেন। কাজকর্ম ভালাে চলচছিল। কিন্তু সমস্যা দেখা দিল যখন জন ব্যারন নামের এক চতুর্থ ব্যক্তি তাদের প্রভাবিত করতে চাইল। ব্যারন খুব ধনী ব্যক্তি ছিল। কিন্তু সে আত্মকেন্দ্রিক অসৎ ব্যক্তি ছিল। সে ছিল হাড়ে হাড়ে শয়তান এবং পুরোপুরি বদমাশ একজন লােক। লােকজন তাকে দেখতে পারত না। যাইহােক, ব্যারন তাদের বিরুদ্ধে মাথাচারা দিয়ে উঠল। সে চাইতাে লােকজন যাতে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে যায়। সে বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে তাদের উপর দুর্নীতির অভিযােগ দিল। সে তাদের খারাপ কাজ সম্পর্কে লােকজনকে বােঝাতে শুরু করল। সে লােকজনকে বলল যে তারা বিপুল পরিমান জনগণের টাকা আত্মসাত করেছে। সে তাদের বললাে যে তাদের প্রত্যেকে দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে লােকজনের সাথে প্রতারণা করে অনেক টাকা জমা করেছে। কিন্তু সে কোন প্রমাণ দিতে পারল না। যাইহােক লােকজন তাকে বিশ্বাস করল না। অবশেবে হতাশ হয়ে সে এইসব গুজব ছড়ানাে বন্ধ করে দিল। এবং সেই তিনজন ব্যক্তি শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে তাদের কাজ চালিয়ে গেলেন।
