Tree Plantation.
Answer : Planting trees means planting trees on a large scale. Trees are important for all living things. These are the most precious gifts of nature. They provide oxygen to humans and all other living things without which no one can survive. So there is no limit to its importance. Plants protect our soil from erosion. They give us food and shelter. We also make furniture from wood. Many kinds of medicines are also prepared from the leaves, roots and bark of trees. Plants are needed to build our homes. They also provide shelter to animals and birds. Plants keep our environment pollution free. Plants cause rainfall and protect our land from becoming a desert. This is why tree planting is so important. They have a profound role to play in the country's environment and climate. The rainy season is the best time to plant trees. We can plant trees in all seasons. If we cut down one tree then we should plant two trees instead of one. We can plant trees along highways and other small roads. Any uncultivated land is also suitable for afforestation. After cultivation we should water the plants and fence our plants to protect them from animals and children. We can take some steps to make the afforestation program a success. We can make people aware about tree planting. The government can also distribute free trees among the people. We can observe “Plantation Week” to make people aware of planting more trees on their own land.

বঙ্গানুবাদ : বৃক্ষরােপণ মানে হলাে ব্যাপক হারে গাছপালা রোেপণ করা। সকল জীবকূলের জন্য বৃক্ষ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এরা প্রকৃতির সবচেয়ে মূল্যবান উপহার। এরা মানুষকে ও অন্যান্য সকল জীবকে অক্সিজেন প্রদান করে যা ছাড়া কেউ বাঁচতে পারে না। সুতরাং এর গুরুত্বের সীমা নেই। গাছপালা আমাদের মাটিকে ক্ষয় থেকে রক্ষা করে। এরা আমাদেরকে খাবার ও আশ্রয় দেয়। আমরা কাঠ থেকে আসবাবপত্রও তৈরী করি। গাছের পাতা, শিকড় এবং বাকল থেকে বহু ধরণের ঔষধও প্রস্তুত করা হয়। আমাদের গৃহ নির্মাণের জন্য গাছপালার প্রয়ােজন হয়। এরা পশ- পাখিদেরকে আশ্রয়ও দিয়ে থাকে। গাছপালা আমাদের পরিবেশকে দূষণ মুক্ত রাখে। গাছপালা বৃষ্টিপাত ঘটায় এবং আমাদের জমিকে মরুভূমি হওয়া থেকে রক্ষা করে। এই কারণে বৃক্ষরােপণ অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। দেশের পরিবেশ ও জলবায়ুর উপর এদের অগাধ ভূমিকা রয়েছে। বৃক্ষরােপণের জন্য বর্ষাকাল সর্বোতকৃষ্ঠ সময়। আমরা সকল ঋতুতেও বৃক্ষরােপণ করতে পারি। যদি আমরা একটি গাছ কাটি তাহলে একটি গাছের পরিবর্তে আমাদের দুটি গাছ লাগানাে উচিৎ। আমরা মহাসড়ক এবং অন্যান্য ছােট্ট বড় রাস্তার পাশে গাছপালা লাগাতে পারি। যে কোনো চাষাবাদবিহীন জমিও বৃক্ষরােপণের জন্য উপযুক্ত। চাষাবাদের পর আমাদের উচিৎ গাছপালাকে পানি দেওয়া এবং জীবজন্তু ও শিশুদের কাছ থেকে রক্ষা করার জন্য আমাদের গাছপালাকে বেড়া দেওয়া। বৃক্ষরােপণ কর্মসূচীকে সফল করার জন্য আমরা কিছু পদক্ষেপ নিতে পারি। আমরা জনগণকে বৃক্ষরােপণ সম্পর্কে সচেতন করে তুলতে পারি। সরকারও জনগণের মধ্যে বিনামূল্যে বৃক্ষ বিতরণ করতে পারে। জনগণকে তাদের নিজেদের জমিতে আরাে অধিক বৃক্ষরােপণে সচেতন করে তুলতে আমরা "বৃক্ষরােপণ সপ্তাহ পালন করতে পারি।
