Answer : In his boyhood Hazrat Abdul Quadir Zilani (R.) was going to Baghdad for education. On the eve of his departure from home, his mother said to him, "My son, never tell a lie and don't get frightened in danger". Baghdad was far away from his home. He began his journey in the company of a band of merchants. The way was infested with robbers and after five days the caravan was attacked by a group of robbers. One of the robbers came to him and asked what was with him. He answered he had forty dinars. The dinars were hidden in the lining of Abdul Qudir's coat. He willingly gave him all the coins though the robber could not find those coins. The robber became very astonished and he took Zilani to their leader. The leader asked him why he was so brave to speak the truth. Zilani replied that his mother forbade him to tell a lie. He could not disobey his mother. Hearing this, the robbers felt very ashamed. A great change came into the mind of the leader. They decided to quit their profession. And they took repentance in the hand of this little boy who later became a great saint.

বঙ্গানুবাদ : বাল্যকালে হযরত আব্দুল কাদের জিলানী (র.) শিক্ষার জন্য বাগদাদে যাচ্ছিলেন। বাড়ি ছাড়ার প্রাকালে তাঁর মা তাঁকে বললেন, "বাবা, কখনাে মিথ্যা কথা বলাে না, আর বিপদে ভয় পেও না। " বাগদাদ তার বাড়ি থেকে অনেক দূরে ছিল। তিনি একদল সওদাগরের সাথে রওনা হলেন। পথ ছিল ডাকাতে ভরা এবং পাঁচ দিন পর ডাকাতেরা কাফেলাটি আক্রমণ করল। একজন ডাকাত এসে তার কাছে কী আছে জানতে চাইল। সে বলল তাঁর কাছে চল্লিশটি দিনার রয়েছে। দিনারগুলাে আব্দুল কাদিরের জামার আস্তরণের নিচে লুকানাে ছিল। যদিও ডাকাতটি কোনাে মুদ্রা খুঁজে পায়নি, সে ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবেই তাকে সকল মুদ্রা দিয়ে দিল। ডাকাতটি খুব আশ্চর্য হলো এবং তাঁকে তাদের সর্দারের কাছে। নিয়ে গেল। সর্দার তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল সে সত্য কথা বলার এত সাহস কোথায় পেল। জিলানী বললেন তাঁর মা তাকে মিথ্যা বলতে নিষেধ করেছেন। তিনি তাঁর মায়ের অবাধ্য হতে পারবেন না। এই কথা শােনার পরে ডাকাতেরা লজ্জিত হলাে। সর্দারের মনে ব্যাপক পরিবর্তন এলাে। তারা ডাকাতি ছেড়ে দেয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল। তারা সেই বালকটির কথায় অনুশােচনাবােধ করল যিনি পরবর্তীতে একজন মহান সাধক/ওলি হয়েছিলেন।
