একদিন একটি কাক খুব তৃষ্ণার্ত হয়ে পড়ল। পানির খোঁজে সে এক জায়গা থেকে অন্য জায়গায় উড়তে লাগল। কিন্তু সে কোনাে পানি পেলনা। পানির খোঁজে সে এখানে সেখানে তার অনুস্ধান চালিয়ে গেল -----

Answer : One day a crow became very thirsty. It flew from place to place in search of water. But it found no water. It continued its search for water hither and thither. At one point it felt so thirsty that it thought that it would die. However, it continued its search. And suddenly it saw a water jar below a tree. If flew straight down to see if there was any water inside. It found a little water at the bottom of the jar. But it was out of its reach. It thrust its beak to drink the water but failed. It didn't lose heart. It tried hard to overturn the jar but failed ultimately. When it was about to fly away, it saw some pebbles beside the jar. So it hit upon a plan. It thought that if it threw some pebbles in the jar, the water would come to the mouth of the jar. So it put down the pebbles one by one into the jar. As a result, water came to its mouth. After that, it drank his heart content using his ready intelligence. So it proves that if there is a will, there must be a way.

বঙ্গানুবাদ : একদা একটি কাক খুব তৃষ্ণার্ত হয়ে পড়ল। পানির খোঁজে সে এক জায়গা থেকে অন্য জায়গায় উড়তে লাগল। কিন্তু সে কোনাে পানি পেলনা। পানির খোজে সে এখানে সেখানে তার অনুসন্ধান চালিয়ে গেল। এক পর্যায়ে সে এতাে তৃষ্ণার্ত হয়ে পড়ল যে তার মনে হলোে সে মরেই যাবে। যাই হােক, সে তার খোঁজাখুজি অব্যাহত রাখল। এবং হঠাৎ করেই সে একটি গাছের নিচে একটি কলস দেখতে পেল। সে সরাসরি নিচে নামলাে দেখার জন্যে যে এর ভেতরে পানি আছে কিনা। সে দেখল যে কলসের নিচে অল্প একটু পানি রয়েছে। কিন্তু তা ছিল তার নাগালের বাইরে। পানি পান করতে সে তার ঠোট ঢুকালাে কিন্তু ব্যর্থ হলাে। সে মনােবল ভাঙলাে না। সে কলসটি উপুর করতে চেষ্টা করল কিন্তু পুরােপুরি ব্যর্থ হলাে। যখন সে উড়ে যাবে, তখনই সে কলসের পাশে কিছু নুড়ি পাথর দেখতে পেল। এরপর তার মাথায় একটি বুদ্ধি এলাে। সে ভাবল যদি সে কলসের মধ্যে কিছু নুড়ি ফেলে, তাহলে পানি কলসের মুখে চলে আসবে। তাই সে একের পর এক নুড়িপাথর কলসে ফেলতে লাগল। ফলস্বরূপ, পানি কলসের মুখে চলে আসল। তারপর সে তার উপস্থিত বুদ্ধির সাহায্যে মনভরে পানি পান করল। কাজেই এটা প্রমাণিত হলাে যে ইচ্ছা থাকলে উপায় হয়।
