Our national flag.
Answer : Each independent nation has its own flag. It is a symbol of independence and sovereignty of an independent country. Bangladesh is also an independent country. So it has a flag of its own. We, the people of this country, are proud of this flag. It reminds us of the relentless struggle of our freedom fighters to liberate our country. Its shape is rectangular. The length to width ratio of the flag is 10: 6. There are two colors - green and red. There is a red circle in the middle of the green. The green color of the flag reflects the eternal freshness, youth, courage and vitality of our nation. The red hall symbolizes the self-sacrifice of those freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives. Designed by the late artist Kamrul Hasan. The flag is hoisted at the top of our important government buildings and educational institutions every day. It was first erected on March 2, 1971 on the premises of Dhaka University. It was raised everywhere on the occasion of Independence and Victory Day. The national flag was hoisted at half-mast on the occasion of National Shake Day. I am very proud of my national flag because whenever I see the national flag it reminds me that I am a citizen of an independent country. It is our duty to show respect and reverence to the national flag. By serving the nation properly, we can keep its dignity intact.
আমাদের জাতীয় পতাকা।
বঙ্গানুবাদ : প্রতিটি স্বাধীন জাতির নিজস্ব পতাকা রয়েছে। এটি একটি স্বাধীন দেশের স্বাধীনতা ও সার্বভৌমত্বের প্রতীক। বাংলাদেশও একটি স্বাধীন দেশ। তাই এর নিজস্ব একটা পতাকা রয়েছে। আমরা এই দেশের লােকজন এই পতাকা নিয়ে গর্ববােধ করি। এটি আমাদের দেশকে মুক্ত করার জন্য আমাদের মুক্তিযােদ্ধাদের বিরােচিত সংগ্রামের কথা স্বরণ করিয়ে দেয়। এর আকৃতি আয়তকার। পতাকাটির দৈর্ঘ্য এবং প্রস্থের অনুপাত ১০:৬। দুটি রং রয়েছে- সবুজ ও লাল। সবুজের মাঝখানে লাল বৃত্ত রয়েছে। পতাকাটির সবুজ রং আমাদের জাতির চির সতেজতা, যৌবন, সাহস ও প্রাণশক্তি ফুটিয়ে তােলে। লাল হলাে সেই সকল মুক্তিযােদ্ধাদের আত্মত্যাগের প্রতীক যারা তাদের জীবণ উৎসর্গ করেছিল। প্রয়াত শিল্পী কামরুল হাসান এর নকশা করেন। প্রতিদিন আমাদের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সরকারী ভবন ও শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের চূড়ায় পতাকাটি উত্তোলন করা হয়। এটি ১৯৭১ সালের ২রা মার্চ ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রাঙ্গনে সর্বপ্রথম উত্তোলন করা হয়েছিল। স্বাধীননা ও বিজয় দিবস উপলক্ষে একে সর্বত্র উত্তোলন করা হয়। জাতীয় শােক দিবস উপলক্ষে জাতীয় পতাকা অর্ধনমিত করে রাখা হয়। আমি আমাার জাতীয় পতাকা নিয়ে খুব গর্ব বােধ করি কারণ যখনই আমি জাতীয় পতাকা দেখি এটি আমাকে স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয় যে আমি একটি স্বাধীন দেশের নাগরিক। জাতীয় পতাকার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা ও সম্মান দেখানাে আমাদের কর্তব্য। যথাযথভাবে জাতির সেবা করে আমরা এর সম্মানকে অক্ষুন্ন রাখতে পারি।
