'সড়ক দুর্ঘটনা' এর ওপর একটি অনুচ্ছেদ লিখতে নিম্নের প্রশ্নগুলাের উত্তর লেখ। প্রায় ২০০ শব্দের মধ্যে তােমাকে অনুচ্ছেদটি লিখতে হবে।

Road accident.

Answer : Bangladesh is a very populous country. Roads are busy, narrow and crowded. Therefore, according to Dhaka, road accidents are a daily occurrence in a crowded city. But yesterday afternoon I witnessed an accident that really shocked me. I can't forget it even for a moment. There were a lot of vehicles on the road that day. I was looking for an opportunity to cross the Kakrail ferry on my way home from school. A young boy was crossing the street. He suddenly ran into the road and was hit by a speeding bus. The driver tried hard to stop the bus but failed. Along with the other lads, I immediately rushed to the scene and saw that the boy had been crushed. Many pedestrians gathered around the boy's body. Some lakes surrounded the bus driver. Traffic police arrested the bus driver. An ambulance soon arrived and took the boy's body away. I was very upset to see this accident. It weighed heavily on me, and I still see the horrors of death in my insight. Right now I can't forget the incident. We must use foot overbridges or zebra crossings when crossing busy roads. Adequate foot over bridges will have to be built over busy roads. Drivers must be forced to comply with traffic laws. Otherwise strict laws have to be applied. In short, mass awareness is essential to prevent this.

সড়ক দূর্ঘটনা।

বঙ্গানুবাদ : বাংলাদেশ অতি জনবহুল একটি দেশ। রাস্তাঘাট ব্যস্ত, সংকীর্ন ও জনাকীর্ণ। তাই ঢাকার মতাে জনবহুল নগরীতে সড়ক দূর্ঘটনা একটা নিত্যাদিনের ঘটনা। কিন্তু গতকাল বিকালে আমি একটা দূর্ঘটনা প্রত্যক্ষ করি যা সত্যিই আমাকে ভীষণ মর্মাহত করেছে। এক মূহূর্তের জন্যও আমি তা ভুলতে পারছিনা। সেদিন রাস্তায় প্রচুর যানবাহন ছিল। আমি স্কুল থেকে বাড়ি ফেরার পথে কাকরাইল মােড় অতিক্রম করার সযােগ খুঁজছিলাম। একটা অল্প বয়স্ক ছেলে রাস্তা অতিক্রম করতে যাচ্ছিল। সে হঠাৎ রাস্তায় ঢুকে গেল এবং উচ্চ গতিতে ধাবমান একটা বাস তাকে চাপা দিয়ে চলে গেল। চালক বাসটি থামাতে আপ্রাণ চেষ্টা করল কিন্তু ব্যর্থ হলাে। অন্যান্য লােকদের সাথে আমি তৎক্ষণাৎ ঘটনাস্থলে ছুটে গেলাম এবং দেখলাম যে ছেলেটা পিষে গেছে। ছেলেটির লাশকে ঘিরে অনেক পথচারী জমায়েত হয়ে গেল। কিছু লােক বাসটির চালককে ঘিরে ধরল। ট্রাফিক পুলিশ বাস চালককে গ্রেফতার করল। শীঘ্রই একটি অ্যাম্বুলেন্স এলাে এবং ছেলেটির মৃত দেহকে নিয়ে গেল। এই দূর্ঘটনাটি দেখে আমি খুব কষ্ট পেলাম। এটি আমাকে ভীষণ ভারাক্রান্ত করেছিল এবং আমি এখনাে পর্যন্ত অন্তদৃষ্টিতে মৃত্যুর ভয়াবহ দৃশ্য দেখতে পাই। এখনাে আমি ঘটনাটি ভুলতে পারছিনা। ব্যস্ত রাস্তাগুলো অতিক্রম করার সময় আমাদের অবশ্যই ফুট ওভারব্রাজ অথবা জেব্রা ক্রসিং ব্যবহার করতে হবে। ব্যস্ত রাস্তাঘাটের উপরে পর্যাপ্ত ফুট ওভার ব্রীজ নির্মাণ করতে হবে। চালকদেরকে ট্রাফিক আইন মেনে চলতে বাধ্য করতে হবে। অন্যথায় কঠোর আইন প্রয়ােগ করতে হবে। মােটকথা একে প্রতিহত করতে হলে গণসচেতনতা অত্যাবশ্যক।
