A journey by boat.
Answer : Boat trips are very enjoyable and fun. At the same time it is something of a thrilling adventure for the people living in the city. Whenever I have time, I want to be close to nature. Last summer vacation some of my friends and I decided to take a boat trip to explore the river and nature again.
নৌকা ভ্ৰমণ খুবই আনন্দদায়ক ও মজাদার। একই সাথে এটি শহরে বসবাসকারী মানুষদের কাছে রােমাঞ্চকর অভিযানের মতাে কিছু একটা। যখনই আমি সময় পাই, প্রকৃতির কাছাকাছি হতে চাই। গত গ্রীষ্মের ছুটিতে আমি এবং আমার কিছু বন্ধু নতুন করে নদী ও প্রকৃতির সান্নিধ্য পাওয়ার জন্য একটা নৌকা ভ্রমণ করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছিলাম।
On the appointed day we took our bags and some things for food and started our journey on foot towards the river bank. Since we had already rented a boat, we got it ready. The boat was short but it was neatly arranged. There were two boatmen who instructed us to sit properly on both sides of the boat.
নির্দিষ্ট দিনে আমরা আমাদের ব্যাগ এবং খাবারের জন্য কিছু জিনিসপত্র নিয়েছিলাম এবং পায়ে হেঁটে নদীর তীরের উদ্দেশ্যে যাত্রা শুরু করেছিলাম। যেহেতু আমরা ইতােমধ্যে একটা নৌকা ভাড়া করে রেখেছিলাম, সেহেতু আমরা এটাকে প্রস্তুত অবস্থায় পেয়েছিলাম। নৌকাটি ছােট ছিল কিন্তু এটা ছিলাে সুন্দরভাবে সাজানাে। সেখানে দুজন মাঝি ছিল যারা আমাদেরকে নৌকার উভয় পাশে সঠিকভাবে বসার জন্য নির্দেশনা দিল।
It was morning and the sky was clear. A gentle cool breeze was blowing. As soon as we took our seats in the boat, the boat started moving. These were truly thrilling moments of my life. We were all very cheerful. The boat was moving slowly. The sun was shining in the river water and a beautiful scene was unfolding. It looked white in the clipper's opinion. There we saw many more boats of different shapes and sizes floating on the river. There were men, women, and children in those boats. The children were very excited and were screaming with joy.
এটা ছিল সকালবেলা এবং আকাশ ছিল পরিষার। একটা মৃদুমন্দ শীতল বাতাস প্রবাহিত হচ্ছিল। আমরা নৌকায় আমাদের আসন গ্রহণ করতে না করতেই নৌকাটি চলতে শুরু করল। এগুলো সত্যিই আমার জীবনের রােমাঞ্চকর মুহূর্ত ছিল। আমরা সবাই অত্যন্ত প্রফুল্ল ছিলাম। নৌকাটি আস্তে আস্তে চলচছিল। সূর্য রশ্মি নদীর পানিতে চকচক করছিল এবং একটা মনােরম দৃশ্য অবতারণা করছিল। এটাকে ক্লপার মতাে সাদা মনে হচ্ছিল। সেখানে আমরা নদীতে আরও বিভিন্ন আকার ও আকৃতির অনেকগুলাে নৌকা চলতে দেখলাম। ওই নৌকাগুলােতে পুরুষ, মহিলা এবং শিশুরা ছিল। শিশুরা অনেক উত্তেজিত ছিল এবং আনন্দের সাথে চিতকার করছিল।
It was soon noon and we decided to have lunch. This time we were on the other side of the river. The sailors tied the boat to the shore and instructed us to go to a restaurant. We took our food. We also had tea. Then we started our return journey.
খুব শীঘ্র দুপুর হয়ে গেল এবং আমরা দুপুরের খাবার খাওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম। এই সময় আমরা নদীর অন্য পাশে ছিলাম। মাঝিরা নৌকাটা তীরে বাঁধলাে এবং আমাদেরকে একটা রেস্টুরেন্টের দিকে যাওয়ার নির্দেশনা দিল। আমরা আমাদের খাবার গ্রহণ করলাম। আমরা চা-ও খেলাম। তারপর আমরা আমাদের ফিরতি ভ্রমণ শুরু করলাম।
The evening came closer with all the beauty and splendor. The last rays of the setting sun reflected on the calm water and enhanced the beauty of the river. We climbed to the roof of the boat and saw the absolute view of nature. The red glow of the setting sun attached to the green field fascinated us. At the end of the seven hour journey we reached our destination.
সকল সৌন্দর্য ও ঐশ্বর্য নিয়ে সম্ধ্যা ঘনিয়ে এল। শান্ত পানির উপর সূর্য ডুবার শেষ কিরণগুলো প্রতিফলিত হল এবং নদীর সৌন্দর্য বাড়িয়ে দিল। আমরা নৌকার ছাদে উঠলাম এবং প্রকৃতির পরম দৃশ্য দেখলাম। সবুজ মাঠের সাথে যুক্ত হওয়া সূর্য অস্ত যাওয়ার রক্তিম আভা আমাদেরকে মু্ধ করল। সাত ঘন্টার ভ্রমণ শেষে আমরা আমাদের গম্ভব্যে পৌছলাম।
Ten years have passed since then but the memory of that boat trip is still fresh in my mind. Sometimes I remember its sweet moments.
তখন থেকে দশ বছর পার হয়ে গেল কিন্তু ওই নৌকা ভ্রমণের স্মৃতি এখনাে মনে সতেজ রয়ে গেছে। মাঝেমাঝে আমি এর মিষ্টি মুহর্তগুলাে স্মরণ করি।
