অনেক অনেক আগে এক গ্রামে একজন রাখাল বাস করত। সে বনের পাশে একটি মাঠে গরু চড়াত। রাখালটি খুবই মিথ্যাবাদী ছিল। সে পছন্দ করত -----
Title : A liar Cowboy.
Answer : Long long ago, there lived a cowboy in a certain village. He used to keep cows in a land next to the forest. The cowboy was a great liar. He enjoyed lying and making fun of the villagers. So, he would shout, "Wolf! Wolf! help! Help!" But there were actually no wolves. Whenever the villagers heard him screaming, most of them would come to save him from the wolf attack. The villagers also took some weapons to kill the wolves. The boy looked at the villagers and laughed, "Not the wolf; I did it just for fun." The shepherd made this kind of fun and villagers many times. The villagers became very annoyed and returned in anger. But one day a real wolf came and attacked the shepherd. The shepherd shouted Wolf Wolf Help at the top of his voice! Help! ‘The villagers heard his screams but they found it funny. No one came to help him. His screams went in vain. The wolf killed the shepherd and his cow. Thus the shepherd lost his life. It was his punishment for lying. So, we should always speak his truth.

বঙ্গানুবাদ : অনেক অনেক আগে এক গ্রামে একজন রাখাল বাস করত। সে বনের পাশে একটি মাঠে গরু চড়াত। রাখালটি খুবই মিথ্যাবাদী ছিল। সে মিথ্যা কথা বলে গ্রামবাসীদের সাথে মজা করতে পছন্দ করত। তাই সে চিৎকার করে বলত, "বাঘ! বাঘ! বাঁচাও! বাঁচাও!" প্রকৃতপক্ষে সেখানে কোন বাঘ থাকত না। তার চিৎকার শুনে অনেক গ্রামবাসী তাকে বাঘের আক্রমণ থেকে বাঁচাতে আসত। গ্রামবাসীরা বাঘটিকে মারার জন্য অস্ত্র নিয়ে আসত। ছেলেটি গ্রামবাসীদের দিকে হাসতে হাসতে বলত, "কোনাে বাঘ নেই; আমি শুধু মজা করার জন্যেই এসব করেছিলাম।" রাখাল বালকটি এই ধরনের মজা করে অনেকবার গ্রামবাসীদের বােকা বানিয়েছে। গ্রামবাসীরা খুবই বিরক্ত হলাে এবং ক্ষুদ্ধ হয়ে চলে আসল। কিন্তু একদিন একটি সত্যিকারের বাঘ রাখাল বালকটিকে আক্রমণ করল। রাখালটি জোরে জোরে চিৎকার করতে লাগল, "বাঘ! বাঘ! বাঁচাও! বাঁচাও!" গ্ৰামবাসীরা তার চিৎকার শুনল কিন্তু এটাকে ঠাট্টা তামাশা হিসেবে নিল। কেউ তাকে সাহায্য করতে আসল না। তার চিৎকার বিফলে গেল। বাঘটি রাখাল এবং তার গরুগুলােকে হত্যা করল। এভাবেই রাখালটি তার জীবন হারাল। এটি ছিলাে তার মিথ্যা বলার শাস্তি। তাই আমাদের সবসময় সত্যি কথা বলা উচিত।
